Buying a nice juicer for the home can be quite confusing and mind boggling sometimes, considering the fact that there are a lot of them available these days. I initially became aware of the the benefits of juicing when I purchased a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer. There are many available and a lot of people end up buying an unsuitable one. Prior to going out and buying one it is important to  look at your needs. Since vegetable and fruit juicers are  different from wheatgrass juicers it is important to know the differences. Before going out and making a purchase, making a list of the features you desire is a useful exercise

There are many varieties of machines around in the market. It can  be confusing trying to choose between a centrifugal juicer, a masticating machine, and a twin gear juicer. Centrifugal machines are the most common and often most affordable than the other juicers. They process fruits and vegetables at a very high speed and are very effective. For  fibrous foods like spinach, wheatgrass and lettuce they are not really suitable. They  also let some of the  juice go to waste and to prevent this, single blade or twin blade juicers should be used. For these varieties, special designs of juicers are available. One of the most suitable types is the Miracle-mj 500 auger Juicer. They have the advantage of  being quite cheap and contain no aluminium parts and are particularly easy to work. The lower speed units, such as masticating machines, produce less oxidation of the vegetable juice and, therefore, produce a higher quality juice.

Before buying the juicer you should properly check the guarantee that is being offered. Most good juicers should offer between 5 to 10 years on the warranty. Also it is advisable check the blades and the quality of the blades as a lot will need replacing after 2 to 4 months of normal usage. It is very important to consider the percentage yield that the juicer produces because this factor determines the output. Ideally you want a lot less waste and more juice. A motor rating of around four hundred and twenty watts is advised as heat  from using a  higher power rating motor can  destroy the juice due to oxidation.

A branded machine such as the Lalanne Power Juicer is often a better investment than a non branded appliance. Spares and replacement items are  more easy to source for the branded machines than their non-branded counterparts.

Todays juicers are multi-functional  as they assist in making different food stuffs besides processing vegetables and fruit. Pasta, ice-cream, nut butters are a few of the food products that can be made with the assistance of these machines. The more modern  juicer really is a versatile appliance.
