Why are We All Growing Fatter by the Day?

Millions of people all over the world are getting fatter every year. Even the nations that never before had to worry about obesity, such as China, Japan and even Korea, are now seeing an epidemic. It’s like no one is exempt from love handles and belly fat. What is causing the human race to get so fat? It’s an easy answer: deficient nutrition. We are nutrition deprived as far as what, how much, and when we eat. With fast food restaurants on nearly every corner, portion sizes steadily getting out of control and even the types of food becoming more fat, sugar and preservative laden, it’s no wonder we can no longer see our own feet. There is a solution, however, and it can only come from nutrition knowledge.
Energy from Food
These days it is all about the taste of our food and how much we can consume, and we have forgotten that it is meant as an energy source. Food gives us the energy we need to get through our days. When we eat more food than we can burn for energy, it is stored in our fat cells. Fat isn’t our body’s way of getting back at us or its way of being spiteful. Our bodies are merely acting as they were designed to do.Fat provides heat when we’re cold, and it provides insulation to our bones and internal organs and even our muscles. It is also a way of preventing starvation. When we eat too much, and we don’t burn off those calories with exercise or everyday activities, the excess gets turned into fat. Since we are eating more and more in our current culture, the fat cells have no choice but to grow larger and larger.
Balanced Nutrition is the Answer
Balanced nutrition is the solution. You don’t have to give up your favorite foods, treats and desserts. You do, however, have to balance these out so that you don’t get too overweight. Focus your daily meals on fresh fruits, veggies, and lean meats and proper nutrition supplements such as vitamins are essential. Your favorite desserts should be a prize at the end of the week for feeding yourself proper nutrition the rest of the time. You can maintain a healthy weight by eating well for an entire week and then splurging one or even two days during that week; provided that you burn off the excess calories with exercise.
Are You Overweight?
If you are struggling to take off the extra weight, you will not find permanent success until you start feeding your body the nutrition it needs and start a regular exercise program. The fastest way to see weight loss success is to eat a balanced diet broken into smaller meals (6 meals works best) and workout thirty minutes or more at least three days a week. Losing weight does take some consistent work, but there is no easy way around it.It does take work. If exercise scares you, relax because it doesn’t have to be super intense like you see in all the infomercials and commercials all over the TV. A few walks around the block are sufficient to burn enough calories to help you lose weight as long as your nutrition is balanced.
